The Rice Genome Annual Meeting has been designed as a venue for general discussions on the
current progress and future perspectives of genome research on rice and other important crops.
The meeting consists of a two-day Workshop followed by a Forum on the final day. The
Workshop will principally cover presentations on the progress of genome sequencing efforts
from members of the International Rice Genome Sequencing Project (IRGSP) and recent trends
on functional genomics. The Rice Genome Forum, to be held for the 9th time, will aim to bring
together the scientific and non-scientific community to share their findings and visions on
the tremendous progress achieved in genome analysis of major crops.
